Delaney Homes
Perth Amboy, New Jersey

The Delaney Homes public housing project was initially constructed in 1952 on a 15 acre site in Perth Amboy. The housing project was shuttered in 2005 and most of the buildings demolished by 2012.

Omland Engineering was hired to assist with a master planning effort to redevelop the site to incorporate commercial space, market rate housing, and affordable housing. After numerous meetings with city officials, Omland prepared the subdivision and site plans for the new chosen concept. Site development included roadway and utility designs along with underground stormwater detention systems. Omland is in the process of preparing a zoning/land use ordinance for the portion of the redevelopment zone in which the site is located.
