Orange County 911 Center
Goshen, New York

Omland provided site design services for Orange County’s 911 emergency response center for all County facilities including Indian Point Nuclear Plant. We worked closely with the project architect to provide on-time, on-budget construction documents to Orange County.

The facility contains 90,000 square feet of space for their emergency services center comprised of 911 emergency operations room, auditorium, classrooms, offices, situation room, and data center. Located on a large knoll it required special design criteria to accommodate access needs of the County’s emergency vehicles. A water storage tank was located at the peak of the knoll to maintain service during construction. The design included water quality measures and balanced earthwork to keep all material onsite for future development phases.
